Studio Policies & Procedures

At Dynamic Expressions Performing Arts, we are committed to creating a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all students, families, and staff. Please review the following policies to ensure a smooth and successful season.

​​Attendance & Punctuality​

  • Regular attendance is expected for all classes.

  • Please arrive on time, dressed and ready to participate.

  • Excessive absences may affect class placement, performances, or participation in the company program.

Dress Code​

  • All students must follow the class-specific dress code for safety and consistency.

  • Hair must be pulled back and secured away from the face.

  • No jewelry or gum is allowed during class.

​

​

Studio Conduct​

  • We promote respect, kindness, and teamwork in all classes.

  • Disruptive behavior will be addressed and may result in dismissal from class.

  • Parents and guardians are asked to support a positive environment both inside and outside of the studio.

Payments & Tuition

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and late on the 5th. 

  • Late payments incur a $30 late fee.

  • No refunds will be issued for missed classes or withdrawals mid-season.

  • After the 10th the student will be excused from classes until balance is paid in full.

Performance Policy

  • Participation in performances is optional but encouraged.

  • Students must attend all scheduled rehearsals to participate in shows or community events.

  • Costumes and performance fees will be communicated in advance.

Health & Safety

  • Students who are sick should stay home until fully recovered.

  • Please notify the studio of any allergies, medical conditions, or injuries.

Hygiene & Personal Care

To maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for all students, we ask that dancers follow these hygiene guidelines:

​

  • Come to class clean and prepared. Use deodorant if age-appropriate.

  • Wear clean dancewear and shoes to every class.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face.

  • No jewelry, gum, or eating during class.

  • If your dancer is feeling sick or has a fever, please keep them home until they are well.

  • Water bottles only in the dance space—no food allowed in studios.

Good hygiene supports health, safety, and a positive studio experience for everyone.

Communication​

  • All important updates are sent via email and posted on studio platforms.

  • Please check regularly for announcements regarding rehearsals, performances, and schedule changes.

We kindly ask that you do not send text messages regarding studio matters to ensure clear, organized communication. All emails will receive a response within 24–48 hours during regular business days.

Dress Code Guidelines

 

 

At Dynamic Expressions Performing Arts, we promote professionalism, unity, and focus through a consistent dress code. Please review the following guidelines to ensure your dancer is prepared for class.

Required Class Attire

  • DEPA Studio Leotard (Purple or Black)

  • Uninterrupted Black: No printed logos, bright colors, or patterns. Black leggings, shorts, or skirts may be worn over the leotard for designated classes.

  • Hair: Pulled back securely; ponytail &  braids allowed.

​

Footwear & Class-Specific Items

Class Required Shoes & Accessories

​

Ballet: Skin tone ballet shoes & skin-tone tights

Jazz: Black slip-on jazz shoes

Tap: Black slip-on tap shoes

Contemporary: Skin tone foot thongs or bare feet

Hip-Hop: Clean, black and white hip-hop sneakers (studio use only)

Strength & Conditioning: Black or purple non-slip socks and Sneakers

Additional Notes:

  • All shoes must be studio-only (clean indoor use) to protect floors.

  • Skin-tone tights and ballet shoes promote inclusivity and create a seamless look for performances.

  • Proper attire ensures safety, discipline, and focus—students not in dress code may be asked to sit out and observe.
